Volt is immediately hiring for Maintenance Mechanic Assistance in Fresno, CA.

As a Maintenance Mechanic Assistance you will:

Assist in disassembling and dismantling machines and equipment.
Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment for defects.
Perform dimensional control to ensure precision in repairs.
Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other machinery parts.
Assist in the installation and repair of electrical apparatus, wiring, and electronic components.
Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
Operate machine tools such as power tools, grinders, drills, and milling machines to repair or fabricate machine parts.
Assist in welding and cutting metal parts using cutting torches or welding equipment.
Enter and maintain records related to equipment repairs and parts purchases.
Research purchasing requirements and complete paperwork for equipment purchases.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area and follow safety guidelines, including lock-out/block-out procedures.
Perform other duties as requested by supervisors.

This is a full time/part time opportunity.

Shift: 7:00 AM- 3:30 PM

The ideal candidate will have:

High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree from a technical school is highly valued.
2 years of related experience in maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment.
Ability to work under supervision and follow instructions from experienced mechanics.
Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of machine tools and equipment.
Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Attention to detail and ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently.
Ability to lift heavy objects and operate industrial equipment safely.
Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing environment.

Pay Rate- $17.00-$20.00 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
