more? Click here.Responsibilities:The Assistant Manager of Skilled
Nursing/ADON is responsible for the supervision and evaluation of
patient care performed by nursing personnel within their assigned
skilled nursing facility/service area. This role will work closely
with and support the nursing manager/DON to ensure the delivery of
high-quality service and compliance with federal, state and local
rules and regulations. Provides coordination and oversight of
patient assignments, staff scheduling, patient flow and assists in
meeting financial targets by effectively assisting in managing
utilization, productivity, personnel and
supplies.Accountabilities1. Assists the nursing manager/DON in
planning, developing and supervising the daily activities of the
nursing personnel and oversees staffing needs for the assigned
facility/service area.2. Collaborates with the facility/service
area leaders to develop, implement and evaluate policies and
procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state and local
regulations.3. Oversees clinical operations and quality assurance.
Monitors the delivery of nursing care to residents/patients.
Conducts regular assessments of needs, conditions and care plans
and participates in clinical meetings as necessary.4. Provides
coverage for the nursing manager/DON and fills in for the nursing
staff, providing direct patient care as needed.5. Oversees
medication management practices, including administration, storage
and documentation; ensures accuracy and compliance with regulatory
requirements.6. Coordinates and provides ongoing in-service,
education and training for the nursing staff to enhance clinical
skills, knowledge and competency.7. Ensures compliance with state
and federal regulations, participates in regulatory surveys, audits
and inspections. Keeps abreast of regulatory changes and assists
with developing and implementing changes appropriately.8. Maintains
effective communication with the nursing manager/DON, nursing
staff, interdisciplinary team members, residents, patients,
families and external stakeholders.9. Directly responsible (with
support from Human Resources) for employee engagement and people
management processes including interviewing and selection, time and
attendance approval, providing timely feedback and performance
evaluations, employee development, employee retention, disciplinary
actions and terminations.10. Performs other job-related duties as
assigned.Qualifications:Education High School Diploma, High School
Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized
Education Plan (IEP) Certificate Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
preferredExperience 2 years of relevant experience in the
healthcare industry or a healthcare setting Previous leadership
experience in the healthcare industry or a healthcare setting
Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care
setting preferredLicenses and Certifications RN - Current and valid
Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California
required or Both of the following are requiredo LVN - Current State
of California Licensed Vocational Nurse License required ando RN -
Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state
of California required within 180 days of hire or transfer into
position BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare
Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) requiredDisclaimers:
