The Nurse Manager Oncology Intermediate Care will report directly to the Nurse Director of Intermediate and Critical Care. This person will feel supported by their Director and the Assistant Manager, and will lead a fantastic team of diverse nurses, with expertise in caring for Oncology Step Down Patients. This Nurse Leader will have the opportunity to grow and develop their career under the direction and mentorship of a great team in a world-class department.
The Nurse Manager Oncology Intermediate Care will lead efficient patient care throughout the unit. This involves keeping staff up to date with current best practices and making sure they are following guidelines set by the hospital. In addition, the position requires collaboration with physicians and directors in regards to operational issues and addressing problems with staffing and equipment as they occur while the Nurse Manager Oncology Intermediate Care is supervising. The Nurse Manager Oncology Intermediate Care will also be expected to develop their staff through education and quality improvement initiatives.
