Volt is immediately hiring for Manual Machinist in Fresno, CA.

As a Manual Machinist, you will:

Set up and operate lathes and milling machines to fabricate precision parts
Inspect parts for defects, flaws (scratches, dents), and make necessary repairs or adjustments
Operate additional machine tools such as drill presses and grinders
Read and interpret blueprints or engineering drawings to determine machining requirements
Apply mathematical knowledge (inches and millimeters) to ensure precise measurements and adjustments
Collaborate effectively with team members and participate in problem-solving activities
Be open to learning new techniques and improving performance based on feedback
Lift up to 50 pounds, bend, reach, and stand for long periods of time

This is a full-time opportunity.

1st Shift - 7am to 3:30pm

The ideal candidate will have:

Proven experience in manual machining, specifically with lathes and milling machines
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
Strong understanding of measurements in both inch and millimeter systems
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, reach, and stand for extended periods
Willingness to learn and accept guidance

Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour

Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
