Job Summary: Community Medical Centers is seeking a Clinical Educator to provide education to CDI team members in coding, clinical documentation improvement, and regulatory and billing compliance. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of clinical experience and 3 years of CDI experience. Responsibilities include collaborating with Coding, Quality, Care Management, and other departments to design and present educational materials based on identified documentation needs. The Clinical Educator will also serve as a role model for other clinicians and perform responsibilities within hospital policies, state regulatory, and accrediting requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide education to CDI team members on coding, clinical documentation improvement, and regulatory and billing compliance
• Collaborate with Coding, Quality, Care Management, and other departments to design and present educational materials
• Serve as a role model for other clinicians and perform responsibilities within hospital policies, state regulatory, and accrediting requirements
• Collaborate with CDI leadership for maintaining and improving documentation and clinical skills through professional development
  
  Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree or higher in Nursing, Doctor of Medicine (MD) from an accredited medical school, or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school
  • 5 years of clinical experience in an acute hospital setting and 3 years of CDI experience
  • Strong understanding of clinical coding and billing requirements according to Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers
